I definitely feel your pain regarding children who leave the nest and fly to the other side of the world. My eldest son married an Australian resident who was born in Panama!! And yes off they went to Panama to immerse my son in the Spanish language… I think he just wanted to know what is mother in law was saying about him!! Anyway I did the right thing and was totally cool about it but gosh it was hard …. really, really hard. They are back in Oz now after 6 years and seem to be putting down roots but I will never ever take them for granted. They don’t have children so it was probably easier for me to say goodbye each at departure. Just know that there is somebody in Oz who gets it and if I could give you a hug I would. 🤗
PS. Panama/Central America is probably as far away from Australia as it’s possible to get!!
Oh, but we do come to read about your feelings, which are so well expressed and so relatable! ❤️Safe travels back to the US. It's been wonderful to read about your family and cultural insights while there!
I’m delighted by today’s topic. As I’ve aged, my eyebrows and lashes are waning. I don’t want to microblade. It looks fake to me. I’ve considered Nulastin, so I’m happy for the go-ahead and will try it. I’m sorry to hear you’re leaving Japan. I’ve so enjoyed the snippets of city and family life. Your granddaughter’s got it right, though she doesn’t really have the meaning. Good you can spend this time with her. Also good you can FaceTime her when you get home. Travel safely, Val.
Kids. I never should have got into the back of that Chevy. Just kidding. Having my daughter is the best thing I ever did. If she ever has kids I don't see how we'll be be able to stop ourselves from selling the house and moving across the country to be near her/them. It's hard enough as it is.

As a mama to a child who live 9,000+ miles away. I get it. Safe travels!
I’ve used both RapidLash and neuLash with great success. Both can be ordered from Costco. I also use RapidBrow on my brows. All great stuff.
Subtle, Little Divine Miss M. 😬
I will miss your missives from Japan. Enjoyed your observations. I lived there for four years and miss it.
