You're right about not brushing too hard. I thought I was being so conscientious by massaging my gums with my electric toothbrush, only to find out that I had worn away some enamel at the gum line on my lower front teeth. My dentist filled the grooves with a bonding material and cautioned me to brush gently. The good news was that my teeth were "immaculate"!
I was lucky enough to have a fabulous grandma, which made me look forward to getting older more than dread it. You are, I'm sure, a fabulous grandma, which your granddaughter will appreciate once she's just a tiny bit older.
"Maybe the better to love you, my dear." Absolutely beautiful, Val. Love this!!

I wrote about getting older recently, which I am enjoying tremendously. I am the me-est me I've ever been and I wouldn't go back for a moment. https://ashasanaker.substack.com/p/someday-i-will-be-that-laughing-old
